Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)

A RRIF account (Registered Retirement Income Fund) is the natural extension of an RRSP account. A RRIF account provides you with the same investment options as your RRSP account. RRSP accounts can be converted into RRIF accounts at any time, but you must convert your RRSP by December 31 of the year you turn 71.
